Our Story
Hydrasurvey was founded in 2017 in Alberta to help engineers, operators, dredge contractors, and wastewater managers deal with the growing issue of sludge build-up. Today we proudly serve clients in Canada and the United States with offices in Alberta, Ontario and Texas.

Andrew Ambrocichuk, P.Eng
CEO / FOUNDER
Andrew started Hydrasurvey in 2017 with a vision to improve the wastewater industry. Andrew has a background in engineering, marine construction and commercial diving. This experience gave him insight into a niche which he has grown Hydrasurvey to fill. Andrew is constantly learning and refining Hydrasurvey’s standard for quality and precision. Andrew enjoys traveling, hiking and being out on the water.

COO
Courtney brings a strong background in science and research to her role at Hydrasurvey. With experience managing complex operations, she has developed expertise in human resources, client relations, and cross-functional collaboration. At Hydrasurvey, Courtney focuses on optimizing internal processes, expanding into new markets, and delivering effective, data-driven solutions for clients. Outside of work, she’s passionate about animals and enjoys spending time in nature.

With a multidisciplinary background in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology Engineering, and Water Management, Rania offers a comprehensive perspective on water resource challenges. Her expertise ranges from industrial wastewater operations to her current focus on high-precision bathymetric and sediment surveying. Rania is passionate about translating complex field data into actionable insights that drive environmental sustainability and public health. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.

GIS LEAD
With a background as a Geographer, Environmental Engineer, and Geomatics Engineering Technologist, Rafael brings a well-rounded skill set to Hydrasurvey. He has extensive experience applying GIS within the environmental sector and plays a key role in enhancing the company’s surveying and data analysis. His expertise ensures that Hydrasurvey continues to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions to clients. Outside of work, Rafael enjoys cycling, trekking, and exploring topics in geopolitics and economics.

GIS PROCESSOR / FIELD SURVEY TECHNICIAN
Nicolas is the Operations Team Lead at Hydrasurvey, overseeing field operations across Canada and the United States. With a background in geology and GIS, Nicolas ensures bathymetric surveys are completed accurately and efficiently. Nicolas is dedicated to mentoring and training staff to build a skilled workforce. In their free time Nicolas enjoys bouldering, 3D modeling, and creating art inspired by nature and wildlife.

With a background in Environmental Technology, Justin brings specialized expertise to field surveys and environmental monitoring. He is dedicated to collecting accurate field data that helps our clients make informed decisions about their ponds. Outside of professional projects, Justin is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, fishing, and exploring the natural world.

Amirreza has a background in both chemical and mechanical engineering and brings extensive experience in patent development. Leveraging a strong scientific foundation, Amirreza focuses on developing innovative technologies for accurate and reliable sludge measurement. Outside of work, Amirreza enjoys hiking and spending time with friends.
