Municipal Wastewater Sewage Lagoons

Wastewater / Sewage Treatment Lagoons

Hydrasurvey surveys all wastewater / sewage treatment lagoons across Canada and The United States. Our clients are wastewater operators working directly for a first nation, town, municipality or county, engineers or consultants managing wastewater projects or dredge contractors seeking information about the contents of a wastewater lagoon prior to bidding a dredge project.

Our comprehensive sludge survey reports include high resolution sludge distribution maps, sludge volumes, sludge dry tonnes and information to ensure you have the proper data to manage your lagoon.

Surveying all types of wastewater lagoons or ponds

  • Naturally lined lagoon

    Any type of liner

Using our lagoon liner mapping methodology we accurately quantify sludge thickness from all lagoons. Liners we can map are HDPE, clay, concrete, PVC and natural terrain bottom.

  • Aerated lagoon for sludge surveying

    Aerated and non-aerated

We survey aerated and non-aerated lagoons. In aerated cells our sludge maps will inform you about your aeration and how it impacts your sludge build-up. In anaerobic, facultative and storage cells our survey reports will help you plan and budget for dredging.

  • sewage lagoon covered with overgrown cattails

Easily accessible or difficult to access

Our autonomous remote survey system is small and portable allowing us to access all ponds and lagoons, regardless of how bad they might seem. When access is restricted we are still able to survey and provide you with precise sludge quantities.
